The errors coming from this problem could be one or more of the following:

  • Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {9115D8CB-D713-48D1-83D2-53CD1AE4FDBF} failed due to the following error: 80040154.
  • Open query failed for Query
  • Error occurred while running report: No Agents are available. Try again later or increase the number of Agents.

This problem is caused by the IIS worker processes being 64 bit but some of the DataPA components are 32 bit and therefore the IIS worker processes need to run under 32 bit.

Currently the DataPA installer will not set the necessary property required to make the DataPA application pool run under 32 bit so this need to be done manually.

  • Open Control Panel
  • Select System and Security
  • Select Administrative Tools
  • Select Internet Information Service (IIS) Manager
  • Expand the server DataPA is installed on in the Connection window
  • Click on Application Pools
  • From the list of Application Pools select DataPA or DataPAWS
  • In the Actions window select Advanced Settings
  • At the top of the Settings list change the Enable 32-Bit Applications from False to True
  • Click OK to close the Settings window
  • In the Actions window select Recycle

This video shows how to perform the steps noted above.
