A Windows Update from 29th December 2015 will cause issues stopping Charts being displayed in the Dashboard Designer Client.

The update ( KB3132372) will be listed as a varient of, or similar to :-
Security Update for Internet Explorer Flash Player for Windows 10   ( KB3132372)
Security Update for Internet Explorer Flash Player for Windows 8.1 for x64-based Systems   ( KB3132372)
Security Update for Internet Explorer Flash Player for Windows 10 Version 1511 for x64-based Systems   ( KB3132372)

On the 5th January, 2016 Microsoft released update KB3133431 which fixed this issue (see https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3133431).

The background to this issue was that on December 29, 2015 Microsoft issued security update KB3132372 (see https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3132372) to address vulnerabilities in Adobe Flash Player.

For version 5.5 and below of DataPA OpenAnalytics, the client Dashboard Designer application uses Adobe Flash to render the charts (this does not affect the web implementation of the charts, that are rendered purely in JavaScript). KB3132372 introduced an issue with the Adobe Flash software that prevented these charts from being rendered in the client application. Whilst this issue has been fixed with the release of KB3133431, we have been working hard in the period since December 29, 2015 to re-engineer the Dashboard Designer client application to remove the dependency on Adobe Flash. This work has been completed, and given this current issue and the repeated security vulnerabilities that have arisen with Adobe Flash, we feel it would be pertinent to still make this change.

However, given the issue has now been resolved with the release of KB3133431 and the significance of the change, we have taken the decision to introduce this change to the client application with the release of DataPA OpenAnalytics 6 due in the coming weeks.
