The details on how to manually add the DataPA Add-In to Excel differ slightly depending on whether you are using Excel 2007, or earlier. Follow the details below that relate to your version of Excel to manually add the DataPA Add-In to Excel:


Excel 2007


Press the Office Button in Excel 2007, then press the Excel Options button



Select Add-Ins from the options panel, ensure Excel Add-ins is selected in the Manage list, then press Go



Press the Browse button


Using the Browse dialog box find the Excel folder one level below where DataPA has been installed (by default 'C:\Program Files\DataPA\Excel' for V3, and 'C:\Program Files\DataPA\Attribute\Excel' for previous versions), select the DataPA.xla file and press OK




Press OK to exit the Add-Ins dialog box, press OK to exit the Excel Options dialog box. The DataPA Add-In button should now be visible in the Add-Ins ribbon.


Excel 2003 and previous


From the Tools menu select the Add-In option.


If DataPA is not listed use the Browse button to find the Add-In File (see instructions below). If it is listed click on the check box, press OK then skip the following 3 screen shots.



Using the Browse dialog box find the Excel folder one level below where DataPA has been installed (by default 'C:\Program Files\DataPA\Excel' for V3, and 'C:\Program Files\DataPA\Attribute\Excel' for previous versions)


Select the DataPA.xla file that is situated in this folder and press the OK button.


DataPA should now be shown in the list of available Add-Ins, ensure that the check box is checked and press the OK button.



The next step is to display the DataPA toolbar. Right click in the toolbar area to see the lsit of available toolbars.


click on the DataPA option. The DataPA Toolbar should then be displayed.
